Craig E. Waterstreet, MSEd, LCPC

Craig has over twenty years of clinical experience in a variety of settings. He has extensive exptertise working with AD/HD, marriage and family problems, substance abuse, and childhood behavioral problems. He utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy that is centered on listening, empathy, validation, problem-solving, and empowerment. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a National Board Certified Counselor, as well as, being certified by the Illinois 9th Judicial Circuit Court as a Divorce Custody Mediator. He holds a Master's degree in Agency Counseling and Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.

Ellie Sivill, MSEd, NCC, LCPC

Ellie is a Macomb native who has been counseling people in this community for over 10 years. She obtained her Masterís Degree in 2006 and her Bachelorís Degree in 1999, both from Western Illinois University. Her clinical background is in Community Mental Health which has afforded her experience in working with people with a wide variety of behavioral health issues. She is particularly skilled at treating people dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, relationship difficulties, and phase of life problems (grief, retirement, serious illness, etc.). Ellie has facilitated various groups over the course of her career including those for borderline personality disorder (DBT), substance abuse, and schizophrenia. She is an active member of the Illinois Counseling Association and West Central Illinois Professional Counselors Association. Ellie greatly enjoys being a counselor and believes that it is a privilege to be able to help people.

Gerald Carreon, ABD, LMFT

Gerald moved to Illinois in 2011, after living in Hawaii for 12 years. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, in 2003 and his Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, at Argosy University Hawaii in 2006. He is member of the Illinois Counseling Association, West Central Illinois Professional Counselor's Association, Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, and Sex Offender Civil Commitment Program Network. He is also a military veteran. His clinical background includes working with victims of domestic violence, and sexual abuse victims. He also works with clients who experience depression and anxiety, build coping skills in order to improve the quality of their lives. He believes in taking a compassionate approach while creating a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship with clients. Gerald also enjoys working with couples to help them rebuild emotional intimacy, improve communication, and manage differing perspectives.

Angie Barker, MSEd, NCC, LCPC

Angie has lived in Macomb with her husband for 25 years. She obtained her Bachelorís in Psychology from WIU as well as her Masterís in Counselor Education. She is the President of the West Central Illinois Professional Counselorís Association and a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors. Angie enjoys working with a variety of clients and their concerns including depression, anxiety, stress management, and anger management. She can assist couples to navigate the transitions in life and improve their communication and intimacy. Family counseling, including child behavioral problems and/or divorce issues is an area where Angie excels. She raised two girls and believes this experience helps her to understand children/teens to encourage them to work with their family. The military is another area close to Angieís heart. Her family lived through two military deployments so she has a vast knowledge of the stress that is suffered on the homefront as well as an idea of what the solider has to endure oveseas and when they return.

Pam Helms, MSEd, NCC, LCPC

Pam has resided in Macomb for over twenty years. She obtained her Bachelorís and Masterís degrees from Western Illinois University. She is an active member of West Central Illinois Professional Counselors Association and the Illinois Counseling Association. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor obtaining her license in 2005. Her background is in agency and Community Mental Health and she has worked with a diverse population. Pam is skilled in helping individuals with symptoms of anxiety/depressive disorders, substance abuse, couples counseling, personality disorders, mood disorders, sexual trauma and has worked with people of all ages. She has completed several workshops and extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She likes working with children as well as adults. Pam feels being a therapist is not just a career choice but a chosen lifestyle of helping others.

Emma grew up in a tiny town not far from Macomb. Being a student at Western Illinois University was how she first came to live in Macomb but, not long after graduation, she and her husband decided to stay and make it their home. Emma holds a Bachelorís degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication. She handles the administrative tasks at Counseling Cares, P.C. and is likely to be the first face you see when you walk in the door. Emma strives to greet and assist all clients in a compassionate and timely manner and to help provide a positive experience for all.
